@Danielle: Yeah, it could be fun to meet up when you're here, but I probably won't attend the football match :P

I honestly love those days when you somehow manage to avoid the internet - whether it's by choice or not. It's those days where it's too hot, too cold, or too rainy to avoid going outside, when you're stuck on the internet after you've done all the fun inside stuff that drives me crazy.
So you're in Melbourne then? If we somehow find time in our schedule I'd say let's meet up somewhere because I'm always down for learning about a city from its locals. I guess we might go to the AFL football match on the 30th or the 31st if you ever have any desire to attend.

You make the Internet sound like a job, why would you worry about other people's posts?

Although I agree that having no Internet for a couple of days is a pretty good feeling. I think I'd be a smart ass in my studies without a computer, despite the conveniences and entertainment it brings to me. I thought it'd be painful going on holiday trips without the Internet, but it has been a wonder every time.

The only internet access I have (other than my cell phone) is at work. It's actually been kinda nice not having internet at home (which I haven't had for like 2 years now). Where I live I can only get Satellite.. and eff that! Love the ghetto!

I'm the complete opposite -- I always want what I can't have, so that I can't have access to the Internet makes me want to use the Internet so much more. It's the same when I'm procrastinating -- I know I shouldn't be browsing which makes me find the Internet about 10000x more interesting than when I'm not procrastinating. But yea, it's actually a bit sobering when you realize how far the Internet has infiltrated into our lives!

I'm going to have sporadic Internet access for the rest of my summer because I'll be traveling so much. I'll have my iPhone so it's not like I'll be cut off from the world, but I won't be able to aimlessly browse around the interwebs like I usually do!

I've had less internet time than normal lately, too. I barely had any when I was in New York (I had my iPod and my mom had her iPhone, so I could check Facebook and Twitter and that was basically it), and mine just cuts out randomly now. I have been occupying myself mostly with writing and playing Pokemon on my DS. :P
