Congrats on the new job!
Everyone does that - thinking up better answers after the fact. But usually interviewers give you the benefit of the doubt. The alternative, which I'm starting to believe, is that the interview answers don't even matter, it's just how the /feel/ about you.

It's great that you've gotten a job that you want. I've always been a bit reluctant to try working in retail, simply because I'm obsessed with wanting the work I do to be somewhat related to what I'm studying and hence ~useful~.

I'm like you, I come up with better responses afterwards, but then I figure that's how it is with most people, so we're not that disadvantaged after all! :)

Congratulations! I'm going to have to disagree with Amanda -- there's always car service shops, sports accessories stores, etc., and many men sell jewelry. But yes, this part of my comment is beside the point...

I always think of responses and comebacks too late, and I would say it plagues my life. :p

Congrats on your new job!

I've always thought it was hard on teenage boys - there's not much choice out there when it comes to jobs. Fast food, supermarkets...yeah that's about it. Whereas teenage girls can work in retail - and retail is a BIG industry, especially when it's female-focused (e.g. clothing, accessories). You'd never see a guy in Sportsgirl for instance, or selling jewellery.

Anyway, good luck!

Aww lucky you! I have my dream job and seriously - I'm so glad that I'm doing something I like. I'm one of those workers that if I don't like what I'm doing I won't work hard at my job. Lol, yeah maybe thats just my teenage side coming into play but either way - you should do something you like and get paid for it than do something you hate and get paid for it. hehe

I was able to get this teaching job fairly quickly, and it had to do with the fact that I applied during the time when they are actually hiring and looking for new teachers, so I lucked out. I've always hated interviews because I get so nervous and like you, think of great answers to questions afterwards.

I'm glad you were able to get a job that you wanted. I used to work at a grocery store as a cashier. Four years of the most boring job ever. I hated it towards the end. So monotonous, and I hated dealing with annoying customers. Now I do something that I love, and enjoy every minute of it. =)
