[...] Decided to get fit: I never really did a follow-up post, but I am happy to report that I’ve been exercising more. In fact, one bike/walking path I walked on warrants a photo post which will be coming soon. Also, it appears that I have lost weight, which although was not my goal, is fine. I haven’t personally noticed much physical change, so this is based on other people’s observations. [...]

@Amanda: Thanks for the input! Social sport/sport in general isn't really my type of activity, however. I'm not expecting to become fit overnight with walking, however! I know it while take a while.

I'm in the exact same situation because I couldn't fit working out into my timetable this year, but I'll definitely try my best to get back into it again next year!

Hmm... although working is a healthy venture, I don't think you'll see any results for quite a while unless you're walking rigorously, over long distances? Maybe you should consider taking up some kind of social sport? :)

My BMI is low(er than what is normal) but I don't look underweight. Nevertheless, I also feel like I should be exercising. In fact, I always think this, but I've never been motivated long enough to get it going. So, most of the exercise I get is incidental, and most often involves me walking from one end of campus to the other -- it's how the university's set out, one long block, and that's what happens when you have classes situated at opposing ends!
